Reservoir's postwar housing — concrete and terracotta through multiple eras
Unlike the single-era uniformity of Preston's bungalow belt, Reservoir's housing stock is layered. The eastern streets around Spring Street, Edwardes Street and the high ground near Keon Park have older interwar stock with terracotta tiles similar to Preston's. Further west and north, 1950s–60s postwar housing with early concrete tiles predominates — roofs now 60–70 years old, on their second or third potential restoration cycle. The 1970s–80s stock around Broadhurst Avenue and the Logan Reserve area adds another cohort of now-mature concrete tile roofs where ridge capping repointing and full restoration are the common presenting jobs. We know which era of Reservoir stock presents which maintenance problem.
